Stearic Acids

Univar's stearic acids are derived from animal and vegetable feedstocks. Our stearic acid portfolio includes most of the versions of C18 saturated fatty acid that are available in the oleochemical marketplace. We offer versions of stearic acids that can be USP/NF, food grade, kosher and halal certified.

Stearic acids are used in food, personal care products, metallic soaps, candles and crayons, tire and rubber, buffing compounds, grease manufacturing, metal working lubricants, textile chemicals, graphite electrode manufacturing, oil field chemicals, shaving creams and gels, detergents, and fatty derivatives.
